The Miami Beach Cinema Festival brings independent films to the screen the way they were meant to be seen — in a theater, with an audience, in the dark, together.
Our inaugural edition welcomes feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation, and student work from filmmakers around the world.
Our screenings take place at Savor Cinema, a historic independent arthouse theater in downtown Fort Lauderdale, with a full stage, professional sound and lighting, and a character no generic multiplex can reproduce.
Architecture & Atmosphere: Stained glass, proscenium stage, professional lighting and sound, auditorium capacity after verification.
Lobby & Courtyard: Gathering space for arrivals, conversations and receptions.
Amenities: Full bar and concessions.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility plus contact path for specific accommodation requests.
Parking: Nearby public/garage parking.
Every screening happens theatrically at Savor Cinema, never online.
Every submission is watched by a person, not scored by an algorithm.
Timelines, fees, and decisions are communicated plainly and professionally.
“If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everyone else’s success.”
“If you just love movies enough, you can make a good one.”
“Seeing great work makes me want to work.”
